Kanthapuram A. P. Aboobacker Musliyar, officially known as Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, is a highly revered Islamic scholar, leader, and spiritual guide. Born on 22 March 1931, he currently serves as the tenth and incumbent Grand Mufti of India, a title that reflects his immense contribution to Islamic scholarship and jurisprudence. He is also the General Secretary of the All India Sunni Jamiyyathul Ulama (Indian Muslim Scholars Association) and the General Secretary of Samastha Kerala Jem-iyyathul Ulama of AP Sunnis, leading religious organizations that play vital roles in guiding the Muslim community across the nation.
